The Activities at Emerald Pointe
EMERALD POINTE has three main areas of Activities. These activities consist of Social clubs and activities, the Boating Club, and the Tennis Club. There is an organized Golf group at Emerald Pointe, however, all golf matches are played away from Emerald Pointe.
Social clubs consist of such activities as dances, dinners, special event parties, pool parties, singers, fund raisers, and concerts.
Anyone who has ever attended or participated in an Emerald Pointe St Paddy's Day Parade, complete with Green Beer and Corn beef and Cabbage, will never forget the afternoon.
Other organized social activities include, a Book Club, Crafts Club, Bridge Club, Poker Club, Aqua-aerobics, Square Dancing, Movie Night, Pot Luck Night each Monday, the first Friday of each month is TGIF Happy Hour, and from time to time Mah Jong classes.
Tennis at Emerald Pointe consists of five tennis courts, three clay and two hard surface. The Emerald Pointe Tennis Club has a tennis pro on staff twelve months a year and a very active tennis club and program at Emerald Pointe. The Emerald Pointe Tennis Club organizes events among its own teams and also organizes events and matches with other tennis clubs in the area for play either here or at these other clubs.
The Marina Committee concurrently with the Emerald Pointe Boat Club oversees all activities at and in Marina Basin at Emerald Pointe. Together they organize, plan, and oversee the needs of over four thousand feet of docks in the Marina Basin. The Emerald Pointe Marina Committee/Boat Club manages the vessel placement for vessels in the Marina Basin. Sometimes there are over one hundred boats in the Marina. The Boat Club arranges U.S. Coast Guard vessel inspections each year for all vessels in the Marina Basin. The Boat Club organizes a meeting at least once each month in season. At this meeting, Marina business is reviewed, Boat Club outings and trips are planned, and there is usually a speaker on a topic pertinent to Boating in Southwest Florida.
